What To Bring

Fishing on the Great Lakes can be one of lifes greatest experiences. Here at Big Sea Charters, we do everything we can to maximize that experience. However; there are a few personal items you will need to bring along to make it all happen.

Captain Spiering-Copper Line Salmon
  1. Wisconsin fishing license: For salmon you will need a fishing license and a great lakes trout/salmon stamp. For walleye all you need is a valid fishing license.
  2. Camera: A good quality camera is a must to capture the memories of your catch, digital is best and recommended.
  3. Sunscreen / Sunglasses: The sun shines pretty bright out on the big lake, your eyes will thank you!
  4. Raingear: In Wisconsin on the big water you never know when the weather can turn, it’s best to be prepared.
  5. Refreshments and storage for them: Bring your favorite beverage and a cooler to hold it.
  6. Comfortable footwear: Shoes with good grip will help your footing if the deck gets wet.
  7. Cooler to transport your catch: For salmon plan on a cooler large enough to transport fillets and ice.
  8. Good sense of humor: We’ll all have a good time, lots of laughter is recommended on board our boats, some will be provided but we’ll have to work together to make it even more enjoyable.
